Assistant Professor Alexander Kvashnin of the Energy Transition Center collaborated with his Norwegian and Belgian colleagues to explore 60 different types of ultrathin diamond films and determine the most suitable type for a flat-panel technology that may ultimately prove to be a worthy alternative to the currently dominant LCDs and LED displays used in smartphones, TVs, computers, and other gadgets.
